Do you offer meet-and-greet appointments?

Yes, we offer a 15-minute complimentary meet-and-greet appointment to help you learn more about our services and determine if we’re the right fit for your needs.

What types of symptoms and conditions do you treat?

Where are you located?

We are located in a shared facility: follow signs for “Vitality Biomed” at Centre 70 on Macleod Trail SW. The parking lot is located on 69th Ave SW right behind the Fountain Tire. You can park in any spot without a reserved sign (Indigo paid parking). There is also free street parking for 1 or 2 hours. Once you are in the parking lot you will see an external staircase, go up the staircase and turn right, you will see signs for ‘Vitality Biomed’. This is our shared location.

Do you offer in-person consultations?

Yes, we provide in-person consultations when needed. However, most consultations can be effectively conducted via online video sessions for your convenience.

Are your services covered by insurance?
  • Consultation fees are generally not covered by insurance, but some Health Spending Accounts (HSA) may reimburse the cost.
  • Blood work is covered through AHS (Alberta Health Services).
  • Private functional medicine testing is usually not covered by standard health insurance plans.

What is functional medicine?

Functional medicine is a patient-centered, science-based approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than just treating symptoms.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Prior to your initial appointment you will receive a Medical History Questionnaire and consent forms via email which will help to streamline our session. Please take the time to fill these out at least two days prior to your initial appointment. For online appointments, ensure you have a stable internet connection.

What is the typical duration of a consultation?

Initial consultations are typically 45 minutes to allow for a comprehensive assessment. Follow-up appointments may vary in length depending on your needs but are usually between 20 minutes and 45 minutes.

Do you prescribe medications or offer natural remedies?

We offer a tailored approach that may include prescription medications, natural remedies, and lifestyle recommendations based on your unique needs and goals.

How soon will I see results?

The timeline for results varies depending on the individual and the nature of the condition. Some patients experience improvements within weeks, while others may require several months for significant progress.
